Two Feet High and Rising.

Vans Syndicate is dropping a set of shoes designed with Gabe Morford this Holiday season. Gabe is a well known skateboard photographer and a less well known skateboarder. Lately you might have heard his name as a director, filmer and rider in MASH SF.

The Morf x Vans line will be specifically designed with cycling in mind. It will have a stiffened foot-bed for increased-power transfer, and "easy-into-the-toeclips" waxed-canvas toebox, breathing/ventilation-holes in the foot arch and a special, reinforced suede rear. Was there enough dashes in that sentence? The shoes, a Slip-On "S", Half Cab and Era "S" will be limited to 500 pairs and will also be released alongside a U-Lock holder/pouch this December.

To celebrate the release of this shoe Gabe/Mash are putting on a contest for one pair of sample suze (US Mens 9) Gabe Morford X Vans Syndicate Slip-Ons (Pictured up top). Via the MASH Blog: "You can own the pair featured here by submitting a photo of you and your bike on top of the highest road, pass or elevation in your area. Photos should have substantiated documentation of elevation in feet or meters, and he/she who is highest (no 420) wins... Send your photograph no later than 12 September 2008 to info@mashsf.com"

Do it up, and check out Reda's Wednesday With Gabe@DLX.
